  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just ran over a curb in my new G70, scratching the side of a plastic trim piece that runs from under both doors on the driver's side of the car. It looks like one long piece. Any idea what a new piece would cost? Is getting touch-up paint worth trying? Would it help my fellow forum members to see a photo of the damaged part?

Always better to post a photo, but better help. So I'd do it. I'd also do a full alignment, which would uncover any suspension damage. And also check your wheels and tires, of course. I did that once on a new '13 Azera, and caused significant damage (there was a severe narrowing of my street, to install a storm drain, with 90-deg angles, and cars clearing curb by inches... and got distracted once, and BAM!). To learn from my stupidity, I paid out of pocket for the repairs, to the tune of 4+ grand (ouch!). That was the only incident I've ever had. Hope you did less damage. Good luck.
