  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a Premium Plus.

Very happy that i get iPod integration without Tech package, but scrolling through the artist list is very slow and time consuming.

I have about 5000 songs on my iPod from at least a hundred artists.

They need to figure a way to "fast scroll" like the iPod does, or have the ability to start a search by selecting the first letter of the artist name.

Has anyone found a better way to deal with this?

Nope,

It is really a bummer. I've got over 8,000 songs and it's impossible to get to anything far down the list. I thought of creating playlists like A-H, I-O, etc., but it seems to set up the playlists by song name rather than artist name. Any thoughts?

From an earlier thread, maybe this will help:

"It takes a while to find your favorite artist or song because of the way you have to scroll and wait (always alphabetical order). Instead of scrolling, just tap the knob backwards (towards the rear) and it will bring up the next screen of songs or artists. This method is a little quicker, not the best, but better."

I hate the fact that on the USB drive, the screen always goes back to the first folder when backing up from a artist-song. Wish it would go back to the artist or folder you were at last instead of the first one in the listing!

Thanks for the tip, but I have the non-tech version. I just have to spin the selector knob like a wild man to get where I want to be.
