Searching City in Navigation

I was surprised to see the Genesis navigation system doesn't allow you to just search for the city. I like doing spontaneous road trips and picking cities at random and the Genesis navigation requires me to choose an address in the city I wish to travel to but I don't know any addresses of a city I've never been to. My Garmin GPS has a feature where I just pick a city and the Garmin will lead me to that cities downtown, no specific address required. Is there a way I can just pick the city only on the Genesis navigation? Seems strange that a $99 Garmin GPS has this feature but a premium car's GPS doesn't.

Off hand I would suggest you picking out a POI, like a known sport stadium or museum or some hotel in the chosen city and see where that gets you.

God forbid that you would ever allow yourself to be guided blindly into the heart of any major city. Just get your smartphone out and Google Earth your way to an address by finding a Point of Interest. If you want to get to Yankee Stadium in NYC, you sure wouldn't want to get there by way of City Hall.
