  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The day I drove my Genesis home, it only had 5 miles on it and the seatbelt warning light/chime came on a couple of miles down the road, and then again every minute or so and beeped 4 times. Did this the entire drive. Odd thing was it would not come on until the car was driven at least 4-5 miles. Dealer replaced the seatbelt locking mechanism and it works fine now! Wondering if anyone else had this same experience?

Happened to me on the way home after taking delivery. The chime won't come on until the car goes faster then a few mph. Then continues to chime every so many minutes until the seat belt is recognized as being fastened. Replacing the receiving end of the buckle also fixed the problem. So far, so good.
