Send an address to to car

We all have had the problem of not being able to send a location to the car from Google maps.
We had to go to MyGenesis site and send to the car,
Now that doesn't work any more. To send a location now I have to use the Genesis app on my cell phone.
If it keeps this up we will have to type the address using the navi app in the car.
After that we will have to use a paper map if we don't know how to get to our destination.

Me too. Only use the app or the mirror button and don’t have a problem with either of them.

I like to use google maps on a pc because of the large screen. I do this when planing a trip that is more than point a to b.
I can then send the places I want to go to the car and have them as needed.

Being able to "send to car" from Google maps would be great. Google and Genesis both say it will work. But no. Each says it is the others problem.

Second best to "send to car" is copy and paste the address to MyGenesis and send from there.
Now that doesn't work either.

Only thing I can do now is write it down, take out my cell phone and type it in and send it.
Yes, I can do that but it is not easy any more since I turned 76. My hands are not steady as they were once, and that cell phone keyboard is so small. And my memory is not what it was

I agree that send to car would be great from Google maps.

That being said I cannot find anywhere where Genesis says it should work. I believe Genesis only supports its app and it’s My Genesis website. The app certainly works, I use it all the time. I’ll try the website later this afternoon. Are you getting an error from the website? How many addresses do you have stored in Bluelink on the car? I seem to remember it stopped working for me around 400. I had to delete a few hundred. No problems since.

I can't find it anywhere either but I am sure I have seen it somewhere. But I do know if you go through the motions using Google maps it looks like it is going to work but it only takes you to MyGenesis login.
Up to a few days ago, if you login you then could enter the address into the destination and send it and that worked. Now that just gives you an error message saying "Request not sent" try again later.

I always clear the destinations in bluelink when they are not needed anymore. Right now I have 4 or so for our next trip (Next week)

If you know the address, just tap the button on the visor and when Genie asks for a Point of Interest, just recite the address.

I haven't bought my G70 yet. How accurate is the voice recognition? Can you speak the whole address without pausing?

using the mirror function, yes. It's extremely accurate. Genesis trainers spent over an hour comparing it to other software on competitors and it genuinely blows it out of the water. However the voice recognition for other car functions is still spotty, that's why I stick to Siri.

Where do i find them at once I send from genesis website? I have sent a dozen and they are not in address book. tthanks
