  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 5.0 Ultimate, original owner: I have done every oil change myself since I bought the car. Reset the time to next oil change in the car's maintenance menu...never had a problem.

Until I installed the newest map software update from Hyundai. Ever since then the car will randomly display a message on the main screen that the car is due for scheduled service and Blue Link sends me an email that says, "As your car now has 58436 miles it is now due for scheduled service."

My dealer tried resetting my car in Blue Link's system using their computer...no help.

Next, they kept the car for several hours and told me that they did a complete reset of the car...no help.

Third trip to the dealer, the tech starts the car and pushes the Blue Link button on the mirror, works thru the automated responses to finally get a human. The tech explains the problem and the Blue Link tech explains how to fix it.

Solution: Every time I change the oil I need to push the Blue Link and when prompted for the problem say "Maintenance". Then at the next requested response say, "Service Complete". After a few seconds Blue Link's computer voice responded with "Service Complete".

Supposedly that's the fix. I'm still not sure if this was a one time glitch, or if I have to do this after every oil change.

Anyway, here's the fix if you ever run across this problem.
