SERVICES ARE BEING CHARGED FOR 2022 GV70 OWNERS BUT NOT OTHERS

I think as an owner of a 2022 GV70 it sucks that we will be charged $99 connected services, $99 remote services, and $99 Guidance services annually . This only applies to 2022 year everyone else 2023 and later models no charge. Genesis really sucks. Why would they just charge us.

That is the same price originally for my 2020 G70 once the 3 year free term expired. My first actual paid renewal was like $119 though so don’t panic just yet. Due to the inconsistencies with remote starting signal issues I probably will not renew when it comes back up. Signal quality for some reason at least for me has always been 50-50. Even when in the same parking lot and same parking spot, some days it works, some days it says check for obstructions. In the middle of a freaking parking lot at work? Gimme a break here.

I had problems 2 years but it straightened it self out. Another point is you cannot purchase the Remote Package ala cart. You have to purchase the Connected Care Pack also for $99. JUST FOUND THIS. The Connected Care, Remote and Guidance packages are each priced at $9.90 for a month or $99 for a year. Additional discounts exist if you prepay for two or three years. To get the Remote Package, which includes remote start, or the Guidance Package, which adds send-to-car destinations, you have to buy the safety-and-maintenance-focused Connected Care Package. So in retrospect you can't just purchase the Remote package on it's own....you must purchase the Connected Care.

Do you think they are really "free" for the later models? Did you get "free" oil changes?
You got free tires with your car too, just like the new deal with connected services.

Exactly. In one way or another buyers pay for what they get. "Free" maintenance just means it was baked into the sales price. All car companies change what they offer at least every year and some add and subtract features to deal with changes in the marketplace.
