  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New owner with few questions
1. When starting the car the infotainment screen shows the time with the city background displays. After about 10 seconds I get tired of seeing that display and push/access the Radio button (the physical button under the infotainment screen). Is there any way to have the screen show anything else besides the “Confirm” question and then the clock/city scape display?

2. I have the star button on the steering wheel set for Maps. But it’s the Genesis maps that opens up when I push the button. How do I get Android Auto to open instead?

1. The car will always default to that screen and you have to push something to get something else. Sorry sir.

2. Instead of the star on the steering wheel, program the other star on the dash to Phone Projection. That is the general term for Carplay / Android Auto. Stars are reprogrammed by holding it down for a few seconds and then select what you want.

1. Bummer.

2. Made the change. Still not perfect. Say I am listening to the radio or Xm - which is displayed on left side of screen. On the right side it’s Genesis Maps), then I push the star on the dash (above the AC system. Now I have Android map on the left (yippee) but on the right side of the screen is the Genesis map (what the hell). I don’t need to see 2 maps!

Oh, yeah, forgot about that. Thx.
