  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone added shock sensors to their car? I'm in San diego and have a 2015 5.0 and went to a couple of alarm places and they acted like they've never heard of such a thing and tried selling me a Compustar system.....I've seen it done on multiple cars on youtube....

Yeah, they probably have Compustar or Viper alarms installed. The stock alarm system doesn't provision shock sensors.

But on the videos they use the factory key fob still.....no extra remote at all....

...yes, you can do that with an aftermarket alarm. You don't even need their key fob for remote start, they'll usually have a sequence of lock events to replace it.

I recently had a Compustar 4905-kit remote start installed for $300 - BestBuy with warranty ($150 self install/no warranty) and the main unit (DC3) has the option for the shock sensors. The 4905 included the Dronemobile module to interface with your phone. They have multiple year plans but I took the five for $180. Way better than Hyundai is offering. The phone works perfect and you can use your stock FOB with three lock button presses to remote start. It doesn't have the range of the Compustar FOB (3,000 ft... HA), but will do maybe a couple hundred feet.
