Should 2012 Gen trunk raise when unlocked

I just had a 2015 Genesis for a few days and noticed that the trunk lid actually raises when unlocked. Should the 2012 Genny raise on it's own when unlocked, or does it need to be lifted open manually?

Mine doesn't raise when unlocked. I like that when it's raining.

No, but some countries had optional motorized trunks, like the 2015 has as an option.
