  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings forum... Newbie here. I am in the market for a new car. There is a 2013 Equus for sale (certified) with 12xxx miles on it for $32,500. I believe it's a great deal but I am not too familiar with Hyundai Equus. Do you think it's a good deal? Is it a good car? How's the upkeep for this vehicle? What type of gas does it use? I'm coming out of a 2004 Chevy Tahoe in case you are wondering. I am a middle class 40 yr old and I don't want to make the wrong decision. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

More taste; less filling. I feel strongly both ways.

If you like a full size car, I think you should. The Equus is as good as
others in this size and class.

I have had 4 Equus cars, all very good. I do not keep them long, but
some of my managers are still driving my older cars. The 2011 Equus
now has over 120k miles, and still doing good. Have had no issues.
Did have the front struts replaced, and brake fluid replaced under
warranty.

The 2012 Equus is still on the road, I spoke with the driver of this car
the other day, car has about 70k miles, and no issues, however it is
burning oil, he says about 1 quart every 1500 miles. He adds oil about
once every month, and does not mine, so not going to fool with getting it
looked at. He is not bothered with it. It does not burn any more oil now
that it did back when this started.

The 2014 Equus is trouble free so far with 36k miles.

My 2015 Equus is trouble free also but only has 3700 miles so far.

Good luck.
