  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello I am new to the Hyundai World and looking to purchase a 2015 Equus with 93k miles. Two owner car and most recent owner purchased with low miles and appeared to have kept up with maintenance. What are some considerations or things i should look at when I test drive and what is the sense of general reliability of these cars when they go over 100k? My thought was to keep for a few years maybe at 50000 and then sell.

Caveat emptor.

I've owned a 2011 for 4 years. I drive a ton for work and this car is great for road tripping. I have put 90,000 on it in the 4 years. The main issue has been the air ride suspension which I have replaced with a kit from Strutmasters. In hindsight I would have done this right away but I did replace parts as they broke/wore out for the first few years which was kind of expensive. This was especially true when one of the rear bags was damaged on a vacation and I was forced to use a Hyundai garage for the repair. I really have enjoyed the car and just returned from a 57 hour western road trip. I got between 23 and 26 MPG and was very comfortable. My wife was also quite comfy in the passenger seat. I would do it again. The KIA K900 is kind of a a cousin to the Equus and uses a traditional suspension. You might want to consider it. I think it has even less recognition and you can find some good deals on them.
