  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all, one of my side curtains is not working properly.
When I pull it up and hang it on the hooks only the rear hook hangs firmly and the one on the front don't make contact with the curtain. Because of this the plastic strip would dangle, hit the window and make a noise when I'm driving.
Think it's just that tension on the curtain is uneven. I wonder if there is anything I can do myself to fix it? If not I'll have to ask the dealership the next time I bring the car in for service.

Pull it all the way out to where it stops pulling. Let it retract about an inch and lightly "pop" it out. Sometimes debris falls into the door and gets tangled in the winder. If you still have tension issues, take it to a shop and let them inspect the curtain assembly. It's pretty involved to get into the door panel.

Thanks. I tried but unfortunately it didn't work.

Still getting rattling. Tried pulling it out. No effect.
