Side mirror camera quality

Drove a friends kia sportage. It has exact same software and show blind spot view in dashboard using side mirror mounted cameras.
The dashboard picture quality in his sportage is so much better than my 21-genesis. It was much brighter and cleaner and was actually useful. I was able to use it even with sunglasses.

My genesis blind spot view image is very dull. I tried increasing instrument cluster brightness as well, but didn't have much effect. One caveat i have half digital instrument cluster. (Image shows always on ride side in place of rev).

Anyone got any tricks to make it better.

My dash is like yours, only half digital (Advanced+). My dash video from either side is quite visible. I, however, have nothing to compare it to.

I have the full digital dash and the left and right views are quite good.

I assume you tried cleaning the lens under the outside mirror.

That's what I would suggest too. Mine got noticeably clearer when I cleaned off the lenses.

I clean all the cameras every time the car is washed - it makes a difference

My suggestion is to simply disable the blind spot view option. Stick with the side mirrors.

Just think how often you still need to look at those two side mirrors. We all glance at them often while driving WITHOUT turning the blinkers on.

I find those blind view cameras useless, and worse, a distraction. After many years of driving I long ago trained myself to look in the side mirrors. Why would I want to add a second rear view checking system now. I love tech improvements, but this ain’t one.
