  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been looking through the picture section and I didn't see any Geneses with side bubble shields. Is there a particular reason for this?

I have them on my Trailblazer and Accord but I've been slow to get them for the Genny because I wasn't sure how they would look. I always thought they were very practical and functional, especially in southeastern VA. Any day with temps of at least 90 degrees or hotter, you're subject to afternoon/evening thunderstorms.

What do these items have to do with thunderstorms? Doesn't your window glass close all the way? You might just as well install curb feelers and fuzzy dice if you like the look of these. '-)

What I was trying to convey was that with shields, you won't have to worry about rain getting in your car when you leave your windows cracked on hot days. On any given triple "H" day (hot, hazy, humid) you could have afternoon/evening thunderstorms around these parts. My reservation is how they would look on a Genesis. Sheilds seemed to be popular a few years ago. I haven't seen them much lately.

Check with WeatherTeck, I think that is their name. They have the Micro edge ones that look factory. They fit in the window frame and don't have to use double sided tape. I havve not checked to see if one for the Genesis are availabe .We have what is considerd a low production car so there is not a large aftermarket available.

They should fit. I just ordered the plate covers from them. Expensive shipping!
