Siri Eyes Free & os 9.0.1 upgrade

Is it just my phone or are others having problems with Siri Eyes Free after updating to 9.0.1? Everything worked fine until the upgrade. Now it doesn't respond. Normal hands free works fine.

I wish I had. I will try to reinstall os 8.x. I read today that once you do to 9.0.2 you are stuck with it and cannot go back to a previous version.

I have a new iPhone 6S with the 9.0.2 update and Eyes Free Works correctly.

Can you stream music with a USB connection with IOS 9.0 or later. I know there used to be a problem with streaming music cutting out after one second when it was wired but it worked fine with the Bluetooth streaming. What info gets passed with streaming music with an USB connection? Does it work with Apple Music? Does it work with Deezer?

I want to upgrade my 2012 Genesis to either a 2015 or 2016 Genesis AWD w Ulimate package but I have been sitting on the fence to see if Hyundai is going to upgrade the 2015s to Apple CarPlay or if they will only do in the 2016s. It seems to me that they are non commital on the 2015 Genesis only the Sonata. HMA does not seem to want to comment on this when contacted.

Is this specifically through Bluetooth connectivity? If so, I'd try "un-pairing" your cell from your car's memory, then "re-pair" as if it was a new phone.

No personal experience with this, just a shot!

Anybody try using siri eyes free, then it responds back saying I have to unlock the phone first?

This just happened recently, before when I used eyes free to read text message, it would do it automatically. Is there a setting I need to unlock on my phone?

If the phone is rebooted it needs to be manually unlocked via the keypad for the first time. Did you just recently restart the phone and not use it right before engaging Siri?

No the phone was on the entire day at work, and I know I just checked traffic on google maps walking to my car as well. I'll give it a go again today.

So I tried this again a few times when I haven't rebooted/charged the phone before entering the car. It's only when I command siri to "read text" is when it says I need to unlock the phone first. All other functions work though (send text, what's the weather). I'll just try deleting and reconnecting my phone to bluetooth.

On notifications, do I need to have text messages shown on lock screen? I have this disabled, but still allow notifications through, sound, notification center, badge app icon. I don't think this is the case since in the past I've always disabled show on lock screen, and it still read the text.
