  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
Used satin 3M vinyl. Took a while to get the shape right. Fits in the indented section between the exhaust.
Going to paint the exhaust surrounds in the bumper flat black with BBQ paint.
It was a very gray day today. Will try to get better shots when the sun is out.

Funny, I think I had the car just a couple of days when I decided that area of the rear bumper cover needed exactly what you just did.

That one mod really thins out the Kim Kardashian ass of the '12-'14 rear end and should have been done that way by the factory.

Very nicely done, sir. I'll bet if you saved the template and reproduced the trim in a quality material, you'd sell a couple hundred of them in this forum alone. I'd be the first in that line.

A "small" mod with a great effect. Good job!

Actually that looks good........Would love to see a daytime picture with better lighting

Everybody must be on vacation this week. I was expecting several differing opinions by now.

I still like the look very much. If only the OP would respond to the inquiry about replicating the black out panel. Perhaps he is on vacation too.

I like it.....I have done it too! :D

Dareck, for real or in Photoshop world?

I do not have the talent, resources or patience to make 2 mirror image radii let alone get the length correct without filling a scrap bin.

For these reasons, I would gladly buy a couple of the panels from someone who can make them. (The second one in case I botch the first install which is usually the case.)

Anybody?

BTW, looks awesome.

Someone out there must be able to produce a righteous example of this blackout panel.

There's a lot of talent in these hallowed halls.

To sweeten the deal, I'll throw in some Hello Kitty decals.

No offense but I'm surprised at how much I like the way that looks. I wouldn't have imagined such a small touch would've added the visual flair it did but...it looks good. A+

Should we monitor the marketplace?

Mine is black so I am left out.
I need an aftermarket rear diffuser with a spoiler.
Keep an eye out on eBay on this.

I have a Silver 2014 Sedan and this would look great!
