Also I smelled my trunk, didnt notice any particular smell. Im assuming you went grocery shopping or fishing?

My trunk smells too. Ok I admit it.. It's out there now. . It smells like burning wood to me. Not so much fishy. But my olfactory senses could be a little distorted after so many years. Lol

Look at the bright side; it doesn't smell like a dead body

I've had my head in my trunk measuring it for a cargo tray to store my jumper cables and stuff, and I've noticed no smell myself.

Yeah mine is strong from the day I bought it home and first opened it. I GUESS ITS JUST THE Material giving off fumes but I never smelled this in my other cars. I Am sure it will dissapear over time. Mac

I have the big Genesis trunk liner and it smells of rubber. It's reversible and the back side is solid rubber so I'm betting that's what smells on mine.

In the past, I have sometimes purchased products made in China from rubber, and the smell was so bad I threw it out. I think they may be putting used motor oil or something similar in their rubber products. If you think it is the trunk mat, etc, I would take it out of the car and let it air-out for awhile, preferably outdoors.

Ditto. I bought a steering wheel cover one time and installed it in my car. The next morning, I hopped in the car to go to work and the whole car reeked. I tossed it in the garbage. I bet if they remove the mat as you suggested, the smell will go away. With that said, does Weather Tech make trunk liners?

Mine smells as well - been 3 months since I have had the car and it still smells. To me it smells like badly burnt wires or something - very hard to explain, but it's very annoying. fortunately, the smell does NOT enter the cabin

Do you have the trunk liner? My 3.8 AWD Ultimate has no problems with trunk odor - but I also don't have the trunk liner.
