  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I've been thinking about getting some of the red and clear lights on my GV80 smoked recently and received a few quotes in the hundreds of dollars (which seemed somewhat reasonable). Despite it being questionably legal in my area (NC), I decided to first order a roll of smoke color tinting material from Amazon for $10 and give it a try myself. The reviews for the material claimed it was particularly easy to apply dry , without water, and it was. The only tool I needed was a heat gun which I bought at Home Depot for $25. It took me about 3 hours and I tinted all of the rear lights, as well as the clear side turn signals beneath the side mirrors. I think it really makes the white exterior pop and love the way it came out for less than $10 of tint and a little bit of my time! Hope this helps others that may be thinking of doing similar tinting.IMG_3772 (2).webpIMG_3775.webpIMG_3774 (1).webp
