  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I hear the 2.0T is getting a manual transmission as an option...

So... What do you think of this? In case you somehow missed the title of the discussion, it seems the Genesis G70 is getting an optional manual transmission in the 2.0T model...

Yes, I read that as well on Car and Driver, but seems that it's a one year special. This definitely changes my view on this car as my current Genesis lease ends. Obviously I would prefer the 3.3T, but if the 2.0T is strong and weighs less than 3800lbs, then I'm in.

And a limited-slip differential, maybe the most excellent one (Torsen) they had in the coupe?

not sure how i feel honestly with a manual+turbo combo.... just imagine there v8 with a manual in that car lol.

It seems really strange that it would only be for a single year. Perhaps they want to see how many people buy the manual. It won't sell much. That's a guarantee. Most people will buy the automatic. So I imagine it would have to prove worthwhile to keep it as an option...

My guess is that this will get sold in very limited quantities for track (?) heads. The coupe is gone.

The coupe will be back in the form of a two door G70...
