  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Driving low and high beams?

I bought these from eBay thinking they were correct:

And when I pulled the lights out, they looked like this:

Both positions( driving and low/high) were like this.

And I pulled this out of the inner socket(driving light I think)

I had searched and read and was dreading changing the bulbs but these were easy to get to(aside from removing the air filter carrier).

What exactly are these? Halogen? Did all 2015’s have this style or the type as I originally thought I had?

So many questions

Yes, the bulbs you removed are halogen. 2015s had the option for either halogen or HID headlamps. I hope the seller lets you return the HID bulbs.

I’d send em along to anyone here for shipping costs.

Btw, would a bad ballast cause low output?

If you have halogen high and low beam bulbs, then your Genesis do not have a ballast. Ballast are only for HID light bulbs.

But, yes a bad ballast on a HID equipped car could cause low light output. However, HID bulbs can dim over time even with a good ballast.
