  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Took car in for a routine oil/filter change at a reliable auto repair shop. Picked up the car and did a few errands; car ran well (radio, A/C, etc.) When I drove into the garage, head lights went on as usual. However, when I turned the car off, head lights stayed on...they have always gone off in the past 4 years of ownership. The light stalk was set to Auto (its usual setting.) I turned the knob to off, lights went out, and I locked the car on exit. Furthermore, some time later, with fob in pocket, standing by the door, the locked door did not open. Pressing the fob, did open the car. Also, when I came back to the car after an errand and stood by the trunk, the trunk did not open as it usually did; the fob opened it. I check the battery's voltage and it was 13v. How could a simple oil/filter change cause all this??? Thanks.

EDIT: BTW, going to Setup>Vehicle>...there was no Door button???? I tried to scroll, but it didn't scroll???

The headlights will not go off until after you open the driver's door.

Once or twice, my car has been confused, as though the smart key was still in the car, and I had to use the button on the remote to lock it.

Damn, the solution was not in the Set up menu, it was on the LCD screen. But, nonetheless, somehow during the oil change, all those settings got undone.
