  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey folks,

Just want to see if anyone can potentially point me in the right direction on a leak. I was changing the oil on a 2013 Genesis sedan 3.8L today and I noticed that on the driver's side steering rack there was some oil staining. I'm assuming there might be some sort of oil line seal leak but I'm not familiar with common Genesis issues so I'm wondering what insight the experts on this forum might have. I tried to look at things from the top down and I couldn't see any indications of a leak from the top end. Is this going to be an easy remedy or a lengthy/expensive process?19058

I'm going to assume that is coming from the seals for the high/low pressure lines to the rack but can't be 100% sure. However it doesn't look like a major concern at this point. Best thing to do would be to clean that area up and monitor it from time to time.
