  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone have any recommendations on sound setting for bass, mid and treble?

As far as I can tell, there are no preset options.

Thanks!

IMO, depends on your source. FLAC by usb I leave everything at 0 (default). Radio, satellite radio, etc. adjust as you require. It's very subjective and I would assume when they calibrated the sound system to the interior environment of the car they set everything by default for the flattest response (maybe other than the boomy sub).

I usually have the treble around +3 and the bass around -1, with the mids flat for most audio sources

I am a bass junkie so I like to set the bass level very high, up around +7 or +8. I had dual 12 inch subs in my previous car so I run high a very high bass level as that is what I'm used to. I turn the bass down a few notches as required as certain albums sound a bit too "boomy" depending on mixing. Treble and midrange I typically run around +4 or +5 or so.

I try my best to leave my sound settings at 0, but with some recordings the levels are low for certain instruments, or the vocals may not sound right. I like to hear a good bass also but even though the bass in this car is good at filling the cabin, I find it to be too soft and loose sounding to play the bass like I really want to hear it so I tend to keep it at a level that's just noticeable instead of the more pronounced sound that I'm use to. I'd much rather have some more punch and tightness in the bass. The mid and highs come through nicely so no real complaints there. When I'm ready I plan to get a much richer, and fuller sound in the car.
