Speed Camera Alerts

Hey Everyone,

Hoping for some help. In my 2022 the car will alert me to a speed camera and the speed I need to be going. Then when I pass the camera it will also chime at me. I found one setting in the navigation that I have disabled but can't find anything else and it is still happening. Checked the manual with no luck as well.

I am wondering if this is an AppleCarplay setting instead of the car but the voice assistant doesn't sound like Siri and sounds like the one built into the car.

Anyone have an idea how to turn it off?

What app is this all happening in? Is it in the Genesis Nav**? or the Apple Maps Nav? Or some other app?

**Note: according to your profile, you don't own a Genesis?

It isn't a specific app per say. It just happens whenever I pass a speed camera. CarPlay is connected but not necessarily giving me directions. I have tried it both ways and it always happens.

I may need to dig a bit more and try different scenarios but was thinking maybe someone knew.

I use car play most of the time and never noticed a speed camera alert before. Could be I have something toggled off, or have never come across a speed camera in my area before. Maybe 2020 does not have that ability?

Can't find a setting beyond the one that was in the navigation. Called Genesis and they had no idea. I really want to turn it off as it is fairly annoying.

Quick update. Had CarPlay unplugged and it did it on my way home so now I know for certain it is the car. Checked the navigation setting and the speed camera option is unchecked.

Hi did you ever find a solution for this? I am very annoyed with the red light camera warnings. I thought I had fixed it by unchecking alerts in navigation, but now the warnings are back. I hate the noise and can't believe there's no way to stop it...

The latest update may have fixed it but I found the only solution to be muting the navigation. When you go into navigation click the speaker icon. I do also have the setting turned off in the menu.

Is very simple and i actusally love this feature i made the voice louder so it can alert me of speed cameras since NYC is full of them right now . From your navigation screen select the volume tab and there are the volume settings for the navigation voice alerts
