I do believe that it means your device is syncing and trying to download content from your phone to sync with the display unit. If you connect with the cable it goes away, but if your prefer connecting via Bluetooth, it remains.I have this spinning status icon on my infotainment screen for a couple of days or so. Can't seem to find anything in the proverbial FM. Any idea what it is?

Hmmm.. what would it be syncing? Contacts are synced. Recent calls are synced. Messages are synced. I never used nor turned on Android Auto. I have no music on my phone.I do believe that it means your device is syncing and trying to download content from your phone to sync with the display unit. I don’t know what it could be trying to sync, but I do know that whenever I see that symbol on my iPhone and on all the prev generations of the iPhones I had, it means it’s syncing. It doesn’t necessarily means that you haven’t already downloaded your contents, but whenever you plug your phone into your personal computer it’ll automatically sync via iTunes or Apple Music. Once you get into your vehicle it connects to the unit by either methods and in doing so, will start to sync. It’s making sure that if you’d added a new contact, music or new apps that it can be sync to the display unit.Hmmm.. what would it be syncing? Contacts are synced. Recent calls are synced. You say you saw that symbol on your iPhone. Mine is on the GV70 infotainment screen. Connected Services are active and up to date. Only the HD Radio Info seems not to be available.I don’t know what it could be trying to sync, but I do know that whenever I see that symbol on my iPhone and on all the prev generations of the iPhones I had, it means it’s syncing. It’s gonna show on the screen because your phone is connected to it either by Bluetooth or the cable. What I do know 100% is that the spinning arrow(s) icon means Syncing. If you get in your car without your phone, you will not see that symbolYou say you saw that symbol on your iPhone. Mine is on the GV70 infotainment screen. Well... whatever it was, the spinning icon is gone now. Incidentally the HD Radio Data is available. Thanks. Yes, it looks like that was it. As I mentioned in my previous post the HD Radio Data (traffic, weather, gas stations) is now again available. That icon is saying it is trying to update or download sat data. Like your weather and traffic.
That seemed like the most likely reason for the symbol. Thought it was phone related, but I see it wasn’t. Glad the others on here helped you figure it out.Thanks. Yes, it looks like that was it.
