  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not simple to figure out but is seems ther are only 2 flavors of G70; sport AKA advanced and sport prestige. Looking to turn over my 2019 to a 24 or 25 . The only features of the prestige that seems relevant to me are the Napa leather seats and the electronic suspension.

How much better are the Napa seats?

What will the electronic suspension do for me? I do mostly highway cruising and want a smooth ride (My 2019 is good enough for that) I do not do any crazy stuff anymore.

From Genesis:
this suspension computes realtime
data from an array of sensors in the front and rear
shocks, then reacts instantly to optimize ride comfort
and handling control. Ride control settings can also be
set by you, the driver.

It does make a difference. The prestige also gets the HUD, which Ive always had and find it very useful, and I think surround view camera, not sure other models have that. There are also other nice touches to the prestige. The seats are truly impressive and a heck of an eye catcher, and everyone also comments on the Alcantara lining.

The LSD along with the adaptive dampers are the big performance changes, all RWD cars get the LSD but I think only SP AWD cars get the LSD. I think starting in 24 all cars get the Brembos but prior to that the SP was the only way to get the Brembos too.

360 Cams as well as the amazing turn signal cameras, HUD, surprisingly nice Alcantara headliner are the fluffy highlights of the SP package. The nappa is amazing but I am not a leather expert and the regular leather was pretty decent too. Those extras are all nice and I'd miss them, but you don't have to have them. However, I absolutely would not buy this car without an LSD. The LSD is what makes this a performance-y sports sedan and is vital to how it handles the twistys.

Sorry I just saw this. I am on my second 3.3 with Sport Prestige. I had 2.5 base model cars for loaners for several weeks. The base cars suspension is a good compromise for handling and ride. I should point out that I was surprised that the base car now has the same low profile 19” wheels as my 3.3 sport. The are all season vs Summer.

When I got back in my car with the mode set to “comfort” I really saw the benefit to the adjustable suspension. It rides a lot better in comfort mode than tie base car and going to Sport or Sport + mode it firms up for better handling.

I missed a lot of the features on my car, but my car listed for $12,000 more. I thought about it and concluded that if money was a factor I could have been very happy in the base car. Engine performance was impressive and gas mileage was a solid 30% better.

Depending on the model year, not all RWD G70s got LSD. I do agree though that LSD is a must have for an enthusiast driver. Our '21 G70 Sport 6MT came with it, but our two Stingers did not and I retrofitted LSD on them. That said... unless you disable the safety nannies (ESC and TC), they will kick in before the clutch pack in the mechanical LSD has a chance to lock up, spoiling the fun factor. For normal everyday driving on public roads, I leave the nannies engaged. I would imagine most drivers do the same.

As for the Nappa leather... if it's a lease car, the soft supple leather definitely take the luxury feel up a notch. For a long term keeper and daily commuter, I actually prefer the standard leather. It stands up to everyday use and abuse better. There have been a few posts of the Nappa leather wearing prematurely (presumably) at some spots.

If you live anywhere near a Genesis dealership, try out both seats. I used to be a BMW driver and on the BMW forums there are many threads about seats...some loving a particular type of seat and others hating the same seat. Ideally, if the dealership will let you, do a test drive with both seats. Our bodies are all different and react differently to various seats.

The two decisive options for me would be the HUD and 360 cameras. I would no longer purchase a vehicle without both. I would also add that for me the seat controls must be on the seat, NOT solely on the info screen.
