If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I just got mine in today and don’t feel like the lag response went away at all. I feel as the computer decides to let you rip it or granny it from the beginning of taking off.

I was behind a charger and I couldn’t get closer to him the car kept driving at his speed couldn’t go higher and as soon as I switched lanes the car roared and you know the rest. I feel that this same delay is also implemented on take off.

Don’t feel any gains but maybe something will change tomorrow since I only drove around the block so far and had to share this 😂🤣

If nothing changes I’m sending this possible crap back. LAP needs to rig up our 5.0s it’s been 4 years 😭 lol

I want to get Jets Module but I’m guessing its bogus.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Of course it didn't improve the lag. How could it? It has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the throttle blade mapping.

The whole product is snake oil. They even claim they don't alter the accelerator pedal mapping when that is ALL THEY CAN DO.

Can you post some pics of the product installed and the part number? How do I know you did not just found an empty box or even have the correct unit. Some people like to troll on forums so it would be helpful to see more information other than a box top.

If you do actually have a Sprint Booster do not press the pedal to the floor, just press the pedal halfway. If you floor the gas pedal then you activate the knockdown which reduces power to downshift even with the Sprint Booster engaged. Try lunching without flooring the gas pedal from a stand still, use only half pedal which is hard but can be done with practice.

The Sprint Booster is not that advanced. It just boosts the electrical signal from the accelerator pedal unit. It seem to work as a small voltage amplifier that doubles the signal voltage to manipulate the throttle by wire system. Very simple unit hence why some many companies makes them now.

The lag is from pressing the kickdown switch from a stand still which usually happens when the gas pedal is floored unless a driver is really good not to activate it. With the Sprint Booster you have to remember to only press the gas pedal halfway not floor the gas pedal to the point of engaging the kick-down switch.

The device works great if you launch the car properly by not pressing the gas pedal all the way down so that it do not engages the kick-down unless you want to use the kick-down to downshift gears.

Yeah, I’m not a child no need to play that here bro.

So I drove again today and yeah half way or not lag still there I feel it’s a waste of money I’ll be going to work later on today and give it another try. Even with traction and stability control off. Even on manual mode I mean I feel the difference but I can do the same take off on sport mode by feathering the pedal like you mentioned.

I have royal purple 5w30 for summer, k&n, and EBC brakes and rotors. Just added this sprint thing but yeah I’ll keep posting updates on it so far thumbs down. I need to do a 0-60 with it and without it to see what changed.

I hear you. Well at the end of the day if you are not happy with a product then return it for your money back.:)

The Sprint Booster works for me and I am happy with what it does. However, my expectations were pretty low as to what the acceleration feel would be. My Genesis pulls like a horse with the Sprint Booster, however the gain is not like adding an turbo or supercharger. A few 1/10th reduction in acceleration is very minor but is noticeable to me, maybe not to you.

Truth be told, I really want to find a location in my area where I can do some real testing without worrying about the cops. I am curious to see if the Sprint Booster actually reduces my 0-60 time from a stand still.

Question, what gas do you use? regular octane or premium?

You mentioned something about not hanging with a Charger and you've listed the items above (summer oil, aftermarket air filter, upgraded brakes) that you've done....just make sure you're not asking for something from a vehicle that was not designed in any way to be performance oriented.

No that’s not what I said, what I was saying is that my car wouldn’t get closer to the charger as a safety feature of not crashing as soon as I switched lanes I dusted him because the car knew nothing was in front of me any longer. The same goes when taking off the car determines if it’s safe to take off so sprint booster gets eliminated at times.

I upgraded my rotors dimpled and slotted EBC and brakes red stuff since the oem brakes get hot going down grades.

🤷‍♂️

Yeah, still deciding if I should return it. The valet feature might be worth it lol since people do tend to take our cars for a spin.

I do 0-60 on roads that have 65mph speed limits but nothing faster. I’ll order a timer and post my times soon.

For gas I only put 91 since 93 isn’t available and I’m not gonna pay $10 a gal for 100 just to make that 93 blend. Lol

Oh, I gotcha. I misread. And either way there's certainly nothing wrong with upgrades. I'm all for it. As long as we keep in mind this is labeled as a luxury or "near luxury" vehicle and keep expectations in check with regards to what it can ultimately do on the road. :)
