  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My Genesis has 22K miles on it and I love the car. Since it has been so cold and in the high teens I have noticed my shocks sometime squeak going over a series of bumps.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks

I only notice it over speed bumps with the radio off. Mine seems to be primarily just the rear shocks/suspension that squeak. My Honda Pilot and VW Passat also did this. If it gets more pronounced I'll start to worry, but since it only happens when it's quite cold out I figure it's "normal".

FWIW, My Genesis has approx. 14k miles (Build date 5/8/2008).

My 2005 Passat TDI did this too when cold, however, it was not the shocks. It was actually the sway bar bushings. A little grease and the noise went away. I would have the dealer check it out and grease the sway bar bushings.
