  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is the third time it has happened. Initial morning start OK. Intermittently restarting after warmed up it starts and then stalls at the point the idle drops to below 400rpm. I haven't observed it normally idle that low. A bit of gas pedal on subsequent restarts keeps it going, eventually all is well. No check engine or ECU lights. Power normal. Any ideas?

2012 5.0; 87 octane Shell gas.

Third time on the same tank of gas? If so, I'd rule out gasoline before taking it in, personally.

I'd first run some Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus fuel system cleaner through with a fresh tankful of gas from another station. Top-tier of course.

No, not the same tank of gas. Maybe the same brand of gas. Third time since June 2012 when I purchased the car. I searched the list and found only some threads about throttle position sensor defective but the symptoms were not really the same (and not the same engine).
I am posting this to the list to see if anyone else has had this happen and what it was to point the dealer in the right direction; as everyone knows intermittent failures are hard and time consuming to diagnose.
