Start up idle

I recently purchased 2011 3.8
When startup cold idles at 2200 rpm then slowly declines to 800
I had 2009 4.6 and did not idle so high at cold startup is this normal?

Mine does the same. 2012 with maybe 72K miles. Sputters and takes a minute for the engine control computer to get things to settle in and then runs like new. I think it’s just normal startup. Having said that I do plan to have the injectors cleaned or whatever they are with the direct injection I know they can carbon up especially on the car with low miles
