Steering wheel material on faux leather interior

Does anyone know if the steering wheel that comes with faux leather interior is wrapped in real or faux leather?

If the interior comes with leatherette it is leatherette.

As listed in the factory sales brochure… a leather steering wheel is standard on both the 2.5 and 3.5…

What is "Leather" is open to interpretation these days. Nearly all vehicles with "leather' seats or other appointments are being trimmed in something that is not true leather. I remember my Father's Jaguar XJ12 from the 1970's. That had Connelly Leather seats. The real deal.

I'll tell you what, I have the 3 spoke sport steering wheel. It is absolutely the best I've ever experienced. Great feel and overall shape. It does feel like real leather. Ultra leather has a thin film that will wear through over time, years.
This being the highest touch area.
I hope it's real leather.
I work in high-end aircraft interior business for billionaire's and such. I'll ask my upholstery guys to check my car and tell me what it is made of.

Ok, I get the feeling the materials on the base & select trims with the 2 spoke wheels are different than the 2 spoke wheels on higher trims & 3 spoke wheels

OK my expert leather guy, and I mean expert, confirms Sport Prestige steering wheel is in fact real leather. The smoothness, on mine at least, is likely do to the part of hide pieces were cut from like legs and young age of cows. The grain or texture you often associate with leather depends where on hide it comes from like back of neck or armpits.

I have the "football" twin spoke steering wheel. Very comfortable to grip. Not as aesthetically pleasing as the three spoke "sport" steering wheel, but it has grown on me. It's design gives the interior a very refined presence.
