  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

both sides of the stop lights are out.
Apparently, they are LED. Dealers (over the phone) are telling me I have to replace the entire section of the lights? Which is almost $1,000 ! Tell me it isn’t so…..
What about a fuse? Could that be the problem, because both sides are out.
Does anyone have advice or maybe tell me what fuse(s) I could replace. There are 4 fuse panels and 2 possible fuses maybe I could change. 1 is in the engine compartment main fuse panels, which is called STOP LP, it says stop lamp relay, stop lamp switch, generator
The other is in the engine compartment sub fuse panels, it says STOP LP, it says stop lamp relay, stop lamp switch, IMP.
ANY HELP WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED, THANK YOU.

Fuse would be the first check. (I don't know where it is), Next would be the brake pedal switch. With a volt meter, check to see if power is getting to the lights.

Any shop should be able to do those checks before putting in new lights.

Thanks for your advice, I’ll try all of that.
