  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I drive 2009 Genesis 4.6.
I have a dead end while I was trying to replace the temperature actuator of driver side.
Trying to make an access to the actuator I have no idea how to remove the specific fastener as shown in the attached pic.
Anyone has an experience to handle it or have an idea to figure it out?
Thank you.

It looks like that one is broken.
Normally, you press the center part (missing on yours) in and then pull the whole thing out.
At this point, just pull it and it should come out.

Khono: Go back to posts by me Jan 3, 2023 and look at Dash 2 jpg. Zoom in and it will show your fastener receptacle with pin removed for console tunnel side piece removed. I believe you are missing the pin when cover is removed. The panel slides off from this point. The post is called “Hot air on passenger side and cold air on driver’s side” at the above date. Bunch of pictures.

Correct, Joegr.

I was able to find the threads you posted with many pictures which helped me a lot. I now know what to come and what to do.
Thank you so much.
