strange tremble with noise between 2000 and 2200 rpm, especially on 3rd & 4th gear

Hi everyone,

I have an 09 genesis v8(2k) and notice that when the RPM's hit between 2000 and 2200 rpm, especially on 3rd and 4th gear, there is a strange noise with tremble that sounds like it is from right underneath back seat. Not sure where exactly it is coming from. Strange thing is that I can't feel it on other gear. All I can say is strange reaction at exactly between 2000 and 2200 RPM. Once I go above or below 2000 RPM's the noise stops.

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone have thoughts about this?

There is a TSB to cover the rear drive shaft noise, which may be what you are hearing. Check the manufacture date of your car in the drivers door jam to make sure it was built before the dates below. If your vehicle is covered by the TSB and the dealer claims the noise is normal, you should show them the information below.

I have the same, but it normally starts about 3800-4K RPM and is gone by 4.5 to 4.7. Gear doesn't matter, nor the road.


Normally after 15 minutes of driving it seem to disappear.
