  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know if any of the 1st gen Genesis came with OE stripes. My 2013 3.8 Genesis has stripes and I always just assumed it was OE stuff. But recently I had to have some of the striping redone because of a minor fender bender and the guy said he thought it was just painted on stripes a dealer or the PO had done.

I always wondered that too since I have a 2012 3.8 twilight blue pearl with a gold stripe but I removed it. It looks so much better without the stripe

No, it did not come with pinstriping. Pinstriping rarely comes OEM with any car. Unless you pay big bucks to have it painted on by a pinstripe artist, the usual stick-on variety comes on a roll and is applied by the dealer, or one of those roving touch-up experts that visit car lots to fix body, paint and interior issues.
