  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It's time to replace the front struts, another driver blew them out. The cars is lowered on ark gts springs. I have been looking around to find a stiffer than stock strut and haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone have any recc?

another driver blew them out, or another driver side one blew out? how many have u gone thru?

How many miles are on the car? The springs might be a problem. You're out of luck if you want an aftermarket performance strut since there is no market for them and none are made. You can switch to an R-Spec suspension if you want. Either way, you'll need to replace all 4, not just the fronts.

I'm also curious on how you determined you have 421 chp from a catback and "restricter plate delete".

he wouldnt need to replace all 4 unless he wanted to keep a similar handling dynamic.

If he's looking for struts that are stiffer than than the stock fronts he will need to do the rears too. It will drastically alter his handling characteristics if he doesn't. It can be borderline unsafe.

Brady,

How is the ride with the ARK springs...? There is the Bilstein option from Peter_302

this car doesnt have the best handling characteristic to begin with. border line unsafe give me a break.

I am sure there are Bilstein, KYB, Koni, Sachs shocks that "fit". The problem is that most mfgs will not list a fit in their catalog until they have fully tested it. Is Sachs the OEM mfg for the Genesis' shocks?

QA1 makes generic adjustable shocks for custom applications that are adjustable. Check with them, but have your specs ready.
