  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just under 37k on my 09 4.6. Drove to work this morning and notice the engine temp was down at zero on the gauge. Came to notice the heat wasn't too great neither. Got slowed up in traffic and engine temp came up, traffic cleared up and temps promptly dropped as I got back up to speed. I live in North NJ so it was only ~32°F this morning...looks like my thermostat is stuck open:(

Dropping it off at the dealer on the way home...it's due for an oil change anyway:o

Glad the modern thermostats are the "fail safe" designs that fail open and not closed:)

Yeah, better open than closed I suppose and not stuck with an overheated car:o

Ugh..well pray that your thermostat doesn't break. It's covered under warranty, but apparently the Tau V8 uses some fancy thermostat that no one has locally and had to be ordered:( Car will be in the shop 3 days for a friggin thermostat and they're out of loaners:mad:

muy desesperantes!!

My car was damaged (minor scrape, lower front fender) by Hyundai service department. They agreed to repair it (Uh Yes!!) and I waited 3 weeks for a loaner...I tired of the wait and had them fix it without providing a loaner. Now I use a different Hyundai dealership for service.
