In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Anyone know the best way to install a subwoofer and amp on the 2015 Genesis? Multiple shops have given me different ways to install it. Want to make sure it's done the right way not to mess anything up.

I have a setup in my car.. they wired into the rear speakers., the OEM sub is removed to help move the sound into the cabin,The amp and digital sound processor is in the spare tire area (use of the DSP is so the bass to keep level as the volume goes up or down

I have a 12" sub setup also. The inline converter is tapped into the left rear speaker and the stock amp is in the driver side rear fender, in the trunk under the carpet. I don't have a dsp though. Quanva, what kind of dsp did you get and how much did it run you?

Mine is a simple install, the inline converter taps into the factory sub wire so the bass is pulled directly from the bass output of the factory system, the inline converter has a built in remote wire so my amp turns on when the converter senses music. Then I just have a 12" sub in a ported box sitting as far back as it can, it has about 5 inches of air space between the back of the box and the seat back, I can open the ski pass through and have a bit more bass come through but honestly its not needed. I just went simple on the amp as well its mounted to the box.

Does that inline converter work on the 2015 models? Is it the same as a hi low converter with remote power on built in?

I tried wiring it this way but for some reason when I tried to adjust the gains on the amp no matter how high or how low they were the level would not change. I ended up having to tap into one of the full range speakers in the rear and using the crossover on my amp.

I also do not need to open the pass through for the bass. The 12" is plenty enough.

I don't know, I would assume so this converter just senses power in the speaker wire and sends a power remote on signal to the amp.

hm strange never heard of that the signal coming into the amp is all up to the inline converter and the gain on that signal is a function of the amp as far as I know.
