  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I was interested in purchasing a 2015 Hyundai Genesis G80, (Link: Used Hyundai Genesis For Sale - CarGurus). I love the looks of this car and loved it when I was able to drive a similar car on Turo.

I was interested in learning about:

1. Any mechanical issues in the G80 model (3.8L V6) of this year?
2. I have heard about the headunit issue and minor issues in the cosmetics. Are there any things apart from the cosmetics that I would have to look into while inspecting the car?
3. Finally, what is the operating cost in comparison with a similarly priced 2010-2014 Lexus GS/ES?

I believe that the car listed here is under the 100k mile drive train warranty. That should be able to cover minor mechanical issues in the vehicle.

Thanks.

Technically not a G80 but the equivalent. Check the warranty as the second owner does not get the full 100k. It is a pretty reliable drive train though. Operating should be no worse than the Lexus but I don't have specifics to compare them.
