I searched the forums but couldn't find any leads...just recently my sunroof won't close all the way. I have only observed this when it is in the full open position vice tilt. When I use either the sunroof or sunshade control lever the glass slides forward but will stop at about 4 inches to close and slide back a few inches. After trying several things to get it to close, it appears in consistently closes when I hold either lever until it closes all the way. This doesn't happen every time either, seems like it is about 50/50. I looked in the track and it appears very well greased and nothing appears to be blocking the glass from closing.

Has anyone else observed this? Should I do a reset as per page 3-42?
Thanks.

I had this on my Genesis Sedan. It corrected itself. A search produced these threads:

Thanks for the info. I will try the reset this afternoon, and I am taking it in for routine service tomorrow, I will ask them to lube it up too. I am not too sure a lube will do much, the motor doesn't appear to be strained, I don't hear anything, and I can visible see grease in the tracks. Maybe there are some spots that need lube I can't see.

Update: while at routine service, I was unable to replicate the issue for the tech, of course not, it would have been too easy. I asked if he could grease it up. He claimed he would, no indication on the paperwork he did, but since then it has been operating normally. Fingers crossed.
