  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good morning,
So my 2019 g70 advanced was at the dealership this week to get some recall work done. While there, i was talking to one of the techs and he doesn't seem to think a head unit swap would be too hard(pulling out the consol and replacing with a nav one). I was wondering if anyone else had any other experiencing doing this? Its def something im looking into.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I don't think they are compatible, assuming you could even find one.

Probably cheaper to trade the car for what you want. Head units are not cheap. Be sure to check out the wiring and antenna too, so the GPS works.

Easier to buy a Garmin.

So the head unit(nav) is fairly cheap enough online. I just didn't know how easy it was to swap out the unit

The swap is easy. The making it work is questionable. Controls go through the computer and unless you are sure of compatibility, could make a mess.

Not the same as upgrading from AM to an AM/FM Spark O Matic radio

Alright I will def take a closer look into it before putting anything in.

Also, is there any way to unlock the turbo boost gauge in the cluster? I can't access the sport tab or even just unlocking the sport tab in general.
