  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am still awaiting my 2022 G70 3.3 t sport. I've been watching review tests, and in one clip that was done in Britain, it showed the stopping power from 60 miles per hour (100 kmh). During the hard braking, the tail lamps started to flash very rapidly. Is this a safety feature on the G70 in Canada or the United States?

I doubt it, although I sometimes see Nissans and once a Kia Soul that had the CENTER stoplight flashing. Probably an dealer installed aftermarket module.

I was in Robbinsville NC and Graham County a few years ago to drive the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway in my Miata. While there I saw expensive 2- and 3-wheel metal everywhere. It is a major draw from across the eastern half of the country. Several of the motorcycles I was behind had a brake light that strobed. The harder the driver braked the faster the strobe. I asked a group of Minnesota and Wisconsin bike travelers at our inn about it as I had never seen it (and never seen it since). They said it was a dealer installed option for Harley Davidson.
Anyone else seen this?

I'm not sure; haven't had to do any hard braking in my 2022 G70; or with anyone behind me to see what's going on. It might be UK/Europe exclusive as I used to have a 2011 audi there and hard braking at speed would turn the hazard lights on. I can't recall seeing flashing tail lights or hazards firsthand on other cars though.

I doubt the US market has it. Unless there's a law for it, I doubt they'd put them in.

I will admit I don't know for sure, but I doubt the stock car has this feature. It may have a higher intensity brake light if you brake hard, like some European cars do (particularly BMW). Essentially the brake lights are a bit brighter than usual if braking hard.

I have a module installed on my third brake light for it.

Often LED lights are PWM'd to control the brightness. When video recorded, it can look like they are flashing, when in person, it is too fast for our eyes to actually see.
