  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

has anyone been using another dealership other than Hyundai for routine maintenance? (oil changes, tires, rotations)

Been bringing Genny to the Benz dealership for routine maintenance and have been very impressed, more so than sitting at the rat-hole Hyundai dealership, plus all the Benz owners gawk and ask me what Bentley I have!! :p, plus love to show off my Genny to people who spent thousands more for their rides. Get to sit in a big comfy leather chair, sip my Keurig brewed coffee and eat my danish while watching CNN on a 55" flat screen, or read my complimentary copy of USA today...and I get a free wash!

I still take her to Hyundai for warranty service, obviously.

btw, the Benz prices for oil changes and rotation is the same as Hyundai.

If Hyundai upgraded their dealership experience, I wouldn't be so hard pressed to spend my hour there.

Sounds pretty darn cool !

One of the big issues with Hyundai's move upscale is the varying stat of their dealerships. The Dealership where I got my 2009 was a small an run-down place, but shortly after, the moves to a newer (former Pontiac) dealership site. The new site is a much better physical site and therefore has more service bays and better accommodations for customers. It also has a significantly larger showroom. A result of the upgrade and the continued excellent service they provide is that they were selected as one of the dealers permitted to sell the Equis.

I have had all of my serve work done at the dealership and they always do an outstanding job. They have pretty much all of the amenities you mention except for the Danish as well as free WiFi in the waiting room. They provide a free rental or loaner whenever they need to keep my car for a n extended period for service and were very prompt in addressing the two warranty issues I had. Anyone in Northern Virginia considering a Hyundai purchase should visit Fairfax Hyundai.

you must have an awesome benz dealer cause the ones around here charge an arm and a leg for routine maintenance.

He said he's only doing oil changes and tire rotations there... ;)

I have to say... my local Hyundai dealership is AT LEAST on par with my local Honda dealership when it comes to quality of service, amenities, and overall atmosphere/comfort/aesthetics.

I haven't been to the MB dealership they just renovated next door, but I get free coffee and comfy chairs, free wi-fi and a big screen tv as well.

I can tell you, the experience is far better than what I got at my VW/Audi/Porsche dealership - and I'm certain I'll be spending far less time (and WAY less money) at my Hyundai dealership than I did at the German one...

I should take back the part about the Hyundai dealership being a rat-hole, I say this only refering to the actual building and amenities (or lack there of), the techs and service advisors are friendly, courteous and knowlegable. However the building is run down and the "customer lounge" is almost non-existent, they pretty much converted a store room into one.

Hyundai does give me a Genesis as a loaner for any warranty related repairs, but I just find it more enjoyable and tolerable to take Genny to the Benz dealership for routine stuff, plus I like their danish and Green Mountain hazelnut Keurig coffee...;) not to mention the superb car wash setup they have which I recieve complimentary.

BIG DEAL. Seriously.
