  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The tech package is not available currently for the Genesis Sedan for some reason according to the Hyundai website. I have two questions:

1) What is the problem since virtually everything on the the Tech pkg is std on the 5.0 R and it is still available ?

2) When will it be available?

I want a 2013 3.8 with Premium and Technical packages.

Dunno...I just went to Hyundaiusa.com, did the build and price for a Genesis 3.8 and it shows Premium & Technology packages as options:confused:

MSRP = $35,075 base + $4,800 premium + $4,300 tech packages = $44,175

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Just look at the content of Tech pkg where you build the prem and tech pkgs and the first line states "delayed availability ??????

Probably tweaked some of the software aspects of the Tech Package that people have been complaining about, and then found it caused some other bugs that need to be fixed.

My guess is that it's a supplier issue related to the new models. Also, it's still 2012 guys...

Ah, yes...I see that now. Dunno:confused: Just get a V8...it already comes with it;)

They may be working on any issues involving the new BlueLink system integrated with the Technology package. As for the V8, they aren't available yet neither (R-Spec). So unfortunately your only option for a 2013 is premium until they release the Technology package.
Or you can get a 2012.

However If I was you I would get the 2013 as you will now have remote start and all that other good stuff.

Well, yes, Hyundai relies on suppliers for most of the cars electronics, including the Lexicon system and Nav. So what?

The 2013 Genesis Sedans are already on sale, and Hyundai specifically said that the Tech Package has "delayed availability." What is it about "delayed availability" that is not clear?

Far better to delay availability than to sell something that has problems.

Only Eskimos (and maybe people from MN) need remote start.
