  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The dealer around me has 2 Genesis'. The say they are getting more but the ones with the Tech Pkg won't be available til Sept. Anyone else hear this?

I see that 2 of the 3 new Genesis owners on here bought it with the Premium pkg. The 3rd didn't mention what they bought. Was there any Tech pkg available at the time of purchase

A lot of dealers are saying this. There are already some Tech packages in the country. There are a couple on eBay with photos. I believe they will start to show up in dealers in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, we'll see the V8's too.

Mine has an allocation date to the dealer of 7/8/08. The computer says it will be in by the 25th, my sales guy expects it this Friday based on the ship time for the initial three units. They got 1 pack 2 and 2 pack 3s in their initial shipment. This will be their second shipment coming in, and it has but one pack 4. You guys will be the first to know :)

Like many others - I am interested in the Tech package and have called Hyundai Head Office in California multiple times. My last call (Monday of this week) got some action.

Specifically, all I wanted to know was where and when a Genesis with Nav was going to be at a dealership within 300 miles and what color it would be in. After several logged calls (all under the assigned case number) which showed that nobody had responded to my request in over 3 weeks - a regional manager called me to apologize and to advise me of the specs of 2 cars meeting my needs and to give an approximation of when they would arrive at specific dealerships. He confirmed that they were built and either about to hit port or had just arrived at the port - the estimate was 2-4 weeks before the specific dealerships he provided would have them and he game me the person at the dealership to follow up with.

I'm quick to slam Hyundai on the less than perfect roll-out but hopefully equally quick to recognize them when they do something good.

Fingers crossed. I'm in Louisville, KY if that helps give a timeline as to when available. Manager did say it was possible that it could be sooner. One interesting note was that no dealership he provided (in my radius) would be getting more than 1 on this upcoming shipment.

O'Hare Hyundai in Des Plaines, IL has one available. Black on black. Sweet

I heard the same thing (late Sept) at the Discover Genesis Tour. Some dealers may have it much earlier. But that's the time frame when all dealers should have them.

My dealer was allocated a black/black 3.8 with Tech but so far the one Genesis they received was Silver Premium only. Same with the other dealer nearby.
