  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bradyb, on the Lexicon site there is a "contact" tab that you can try. Some times (like Bose) manufacturers won't disclose details. Make you wonder why, let us know what you find.

i think thats what Im going to do, I think HK Industries are pretty consumer friendly. I want to know what load impedance the subwoofer channels on the amp will "safely" handle, and the S/T details on the sub. I am happy with the way the sub sounds..... im thinking another one to get a 3DB gain would do just the trick.......

If I fail to get the details from HK Ill measure the sub myself and post the details......

Unless a product that is included on a vehicle is really unique and lends some extra advertising value to the vehicle (Brembo, Recaro, Bose, Lexicon) both the manufacturer and the supplier will not disclose brand names. In the case where the supplier is changed, customers will always be asking why and making comparisons about the value change. In the case of Brembo, they supply a vast number of manufacturers with standard duty brakes and are routinely switched with Bendix, Akebono, Nissin etc as supplies vary and plant proximity concerns. These products are seemlessly changed and are made to a spec with interchangeable parts so Raybestos pads will fit on Brembo supplied calipers. Can you imagine a customer coming to a dealer and specifying that they will only buy a car with Kenwood supplied speakers, Brembo supplied brakes, Johnson Controls Instrument panel parts, Denso supplied electronic parts, NGK spark plugs etc. It would be a nightmare. Also it will force the customer back to the dealer for factory parts and the inflated markup and not allow the customer to search the aftermarket for replacement parts.
