  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

On the web and in this forum there have been many complaints about Hyundai dealers not achieving the level of service required to meet the expectations of luxury car buyers. I’ve just gotta point out that the people I deal with at Liberty Hyundai in New Hudson, Michigan consistently do a better job than the service folks at the Lexus dealership that used to service my ES350. Not to mention that they do it for more reasonable prices.

My dealer’s service department deserves at least ten stars for their delivery of superb customer service. There’s not much in life more satisfying than having your expectations exceeded and that’s what happens consistently at Liberty.

I went in today to have a defective weatherstrip replaced and to have the taillight recall done and mentioned the tire replacement program we’ve been hearing about. The service manager and the tech took it upon themselves to do all of the preparation for getting the tires replaced if and when Hyundai approves the replacement on the 3.8. It doesn’t guarantee that it will happen since I have 21K on mine, but they’re doing all they can to facilitate a replacement for me and I really appreciate the effort. They really went above and beyond for me - they even vacuumed out the car when they washed it.

They treat me like a partner in maintaining a fine vehicle, not a pain in the ass who’s interrupting their workday and I couldn't appreciate it more. Kudos to Ben, Levon, and Jeff (Geoff?). Thank you.

We have a new dealer in Athens GA. and I must say that so far I am impressed with their fine service also. Glad to hear that you are having a good service experience.

You let them wash your car?

Yup. :) I used to be really anal about such things, but when you live in the snow belt you either wash your car yourself and that means it's dirty most of the time or you give in and go through carwashes. Using carwashes means giving up that last 5 to 10% of perfection of your paint job, but that's the sacrifice you make to keep your sanity. :) It's not so bad once you get used to it and your car averages being cleaner more of the time. EDIT: When I get in the mood to clay, wash and wax and/or polish I can still get back to better than 98% so it's not really that bad. Modern washes don't tend to be as bad as they were twenty years ago.

I used the same dealer for my purchase and first service. Sales was good, service was better than Chrysler or Ford, but not close to a luxury experience at Cadillac, Lexus or Acura.
