That annoying VW Ad under the page corner

Yes, some ads on this site are certainly annoying. The one I hate most is the curled lower right page corner. I must have triggered that VW ad under it about 400 times. Enuf already!

You should try this: Blocking Unwanted Connections with a Hosts File. You will feel much better.

What browser are you using? I'm using Firefox with its ad blocker. No ads. If I use Internet Explorer ads are all over the page.

If you implement Host file you won't see ads in IE either. And you will not need ad blocker in FF.
