  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As much as I have enjoyed the '12 Genesis since I bought it in September, it just isn't hitting the power and fun buttons for me. For full disclosure, the whole purpose of buying the $22k rental-rocket was to allow my monthly car allowance to cover both a "work" vehicle, and a "lets go have some fun" vehicle.

It has been a great car for work, as I rack up 3-4k miles a month in my sales career, and have averaged about 30 MPG for the 6k I've put on her.

I've even enjoyed the daily banter and flaming on whether aftermarket HID is right or wrong after installing a pair.....but it is time to move on.....

The Gennie has now been demoted to my office on wheels.....AKA "daily driver".

I introduce my new cruiser....

Nice! Did you sell the Genny or is it just playing second fiddle?

Nice old Vette. What year was it?

Why not use the Vette as your daily driver??? I used my 67 as my daily driver for many years.

I wouldn't really consider it to be an "old" Vette. It is a one-owner '08 with 38k miles and every single option.

Could I have bought a 2013, yeah, but why would I drop another $30-$40k for a vehicle that really hasn't changed since 2008 when they updated to the LS3 motor. Just like the Genesis, I find a preowned to be the best value. Let the first owner take the depreciation hit.

Model year really didn't play into the equation, I was actually more concerned about the condition and option list. Been watching for the right one for 2 years. Found this one to be truly mint condition, not a scracth, rock chip, ding, anywhere.

Purchased in Scottsdale and being shipped back to Dallas.

I do quite a bit of entertaining for work and need a back seat for clients. I also have a newborn daughter and 4 year old son. The toy is for me....
